The blackburnian warbler is a tiny, exuberant member of the Wood Warbler family, parulidae.  It is lovingly called "Firethroat" by its fans and it might possibly be my favorite bird.  It's certainly in the top ten.  There are breeding blackburnian warblers in the spruce trees behind my summer cottage.  I love to wake to them singing outside my window.

I started blogging a few years ago, but without much purpose or direction.  The need to comment on the journey has grown stronger lately.  It's a prompting of the Spirit I would ignore at my own peril!  Your thoughts and comments are most appreciated and welcome.  I'm honored you're here to read...

Blessings to you on the journey.

Note:  Some of the photos in this blog are not my own (especially good ones, of the birds).  Whenever it's available, I include the photographer's name.
